Are you searching for the highest-quality dermal treatments and lip fillers Reading has to offer?
Here at Earley Dental Practice we offer a variety of dermal filler treatments, including lip fillers to plumpen the lips and give them a more symmetrical and harmonious appearance.
Many mistakenly associate lip fillers with so-called ‘trout pouts’ or ‘duck lips,’ but when performed with care and expertise, lip filler treatment can enhance what you’ve already got. Any cosmetic procedure, when performed correctly, is more about making the most of your inherent beauty potential than it is about completely changing how you look.
Would you like to learn more about the dermal filler procedures we offer and how getting lip fillers with us could improve the appearance of your lips and other facial features?
Is dermal filler treatment right for you?
Here at Earley Dental Practice our highly qualified practitioners offer both lip and facial treatments with the aim of leaving your skin and lips rejuvenated beautifully and naturally.
The best way to find out whether lip fillers or another dermal filler procedure is the right option for you is to set up an initial consultation with one of our medically qualified practitioners to discuss your treatment options. Not every dermal fillers clinic offers a free consultation, but here at Earley Dental Practice we understand that being able to discuss your options and have your questions answered ahead of treatment is vital to your decision-making process.
There are multiple different reasons why you may want lip enhancements or other facial fillers. Here at Earley Dental Practice, we’re not interested in judging your reasons for wanting fillers but only in providing you with the highest standard of care and helping you achieve the aesthetic results you desire.
With this being said, here are the top reasons why patients seek us out for derma fillers and lip fillers in Reading:
The most popular dermal filler treatment our medically qualified practitioners carry out here at Earley Dental Practice is lip fillers.
Lips naturally lose volume with age, and many of our patients want to keep their lips looking plump and youthful to preserve their natural beauty.
We also see many younger patients who are getting fillers to improve the appearance of their lips by plumping them and improving their shape.
Using small amounts of injectable treatments our qualified practitioners are able to reshape lips and balance out any facial asymmetry that might be bothering you and negatively impacting your self-confidence.
Dermal filler added to precisely the right place can subtly reshape any facial feature. The benefits of dermal fillers don’t stop at plumping the skin – they can also be used to improve the symmetry and structure of particular features such as the nose and lip areas.
In other words, dermal fillers may be a better and less invasive option than getting a nose job or a brow lift.
For ageing patients, dermal filler products can do much more than add lost volume to the lips.
It’s completely normal to experience loss of skin volume and elasticity as you age, but it’s possible to improve the appearance of ageing skin with dermal fillers, which work by re-administering hyaluronic acid, the substance responsible for youthful, glowing and firm-looking skin.
We see many patients who want to restore lost volume to ageing lips, or to smooth out lines and wrinkles around the eyes or mouth area including lipstick lines, frown lines and crow’s feet. Dermal filler products are the only truly effective way of restoring a plump and youthful appearance to lips and skin alike.
Dermal fillers are a non-surgical facial aesthetics treatment that works to enhance your skin when treated at specific sites. Here at Earley Dental Practice, we use two reputable filler brands, Subskin and JUVÉDERM®. Both products contain hyaluronic acid, which is a naturally occurring substance in the human body, though as we get older the amount of it reduces, triggering the ageing process. The fillers work their magic by replacing the skin’s quantity of hyaluronic acid, which has a plumping and tightening effect on loose, dull and wrinkled skin.
We’re also able to add hyaluronic acid to areas of the face including the lips and nose, which can be plumped and shaped to look harmonious in the context of your overall facial anatomy. The hyaluronic acid can alter the appearance of targeted facial features, smoothening out lumps and bumps, with a view to subtly and sympathetically contouring and flattering the face.
We are highly experienced in delivering this treatment for patients and understand how to plan and deliver exceptional treatment that’s right for your skin’s unique anatomy.
We use hyaluronic acid fillers for all of our dermal filler treatments.
Subskin and JUVÉDERM®, the two different hyaluronic acid fillers we use, are both injectable treatments that are able to effect a both immediate and natural change to your skin’s plumpness and texture.
Our highly qualified practitioners inject the fillers at specific injection points to achieve the desired results.
Before your lip or dermal filler treatment it is necessary to set up a consultation chat to make sure you’re suitable for treatment and that we’re able to provide you with the results you are hoping for.
During your consultation, we’ll talk about the areas of the face you’re looking to enhance. We will also ask you about your medical history to make sure you don’t have any allergies or other reasons for denying you treatment. While adverse reactions to dermal fillers are rare, they can happen, so we want to minimise your risks of an unpleasant experience before you have your initial treatment.
As for the treatment itself, the fillers are administered using a fine needle with the use of topical numbing cream or local anaesthetic if necessary.
No, receiving lip fillers or other dermal fillers ins’t painful.
Having said that, dermal fillers are an injectable treatment, so you will experience a small amount of discomfort while the treatment is being administered, even if the area has been numbed using a numbing cream or local anaesthetic.
You might need repeat treatment depending on how quickly your body metabolises the filler and which filler product was used. You should expect to need a top-up of your treatment between 6-24 months following your initial treatment.
If you will need follow-up treatments, we’ll inform you of this ahead of your initial procedure.
At Earley Dental Practice we don’t only look after our patients while they’re in our care, but before and after treatment as well. If you have any questions or concerns following your treatment, contact us and we will answer any questions you may have about your aftercare and healing.
Unless required by a doctor, you should avoid taking any aspirin, ibuprofen, vitamin E or fish oil in the week leading up to your derma filler treatment. Consuming these supplements can increase bleeding following your treatment.
You should avoid any strenuous activity for 24-48 hours following your treatment. You should also stay well hydrated and focus on eating a healthy and balanced diet, ideally both before and after your procedure. Eating well and getting plenty of rest are how you can best support your body’s natural ability to heal.
Absolutely. In most cases, somewhere between 0.5ml and 1ml is enough to achieve lip enhancement you are hoping for if you are going for a natural look. It is possible to use a larger dose of filler, but this would result in a more dramatic and less natural appearance.
Not if you get lip filler treatment in moderation. A bit of filler now and then isn’t going to cause any permanent damage to your lips, although repeat treatments with large doses of filler over a long period of time could be detrimental.
When the lips are repeatedly enlarged with greater quantities of filler, the filler itself can work as a skin-expander, permanently stretching your skin. This can eventually cause your lips to sag when the filler naturally dissolves, as it inevitably will over time.
Because of the risk of permanently expanding the skin, lip fillers and other dermal filler should only be used sparingly and where needed to improve on your existing facial features. While a substantial pair of lips can look wonderful when the fillers are new, repeatedly getting your lips expanded to unnatural proportions can result in a worse appearance later on.
1ml is considered a standard amount of lip filler. With 1ml filler, you can expect a noticeable but still natural-looking result. It is best not to get more than 1ml, so if anything go down to 0.5ml for a subtle and natural result.
Whenever you see someone with noticeably large and enhanced lips, they have most likely gotten 2ml+ of filler treatment.
Lip fillers and other dermal filler treatments tend to dissolve naturally over the course of approximately 6 months.
What this means is that you will have to top up your treatment every six months or so if you want to maintain your results.
If you are planning on receiving repeat treatments, it is best to go for a small amount of dermal filler, as you don’t want to get too much treatment injected every six months.
